Mine Reclamation
Warm Springs Mine
Jefferson County,
Montana
The project included adit closure details, construction of a
repository for tailings and waste-rock, stream reconstruction, and
re-grading of the waste area. Our services included a geotechnical
investigation of the repository area, slope stability evaluation of
the repository site and related construction, stream reconstruction
design elements including streambank protection, and slope evaluation
and recommendations regarding re-grading. Submittals included slope
stability results, design details, specifications, and a water
drainage curtain wall design using a geocomposite drainage system.
Tarbox Mine
Superior, Montana
The
project included a vertical shaft mine closure, construction of a
repository for tailings and waste-rock, and re-grading of the waste
area. Our services included a geotechnical investigation using the
Orion drill rig, engineering design of the closure system for the
vertical mine shaft opening, and review of stability issues related to
the repository and re-grading efforts.
