Mission Mountain School Septic System
Condon, Montana
Project included construction of several new buildings including
classrooms, a library, and cafeteria. A community septic system was to
be constructed to serve all proposed facilities. Our first effort
included a site reconnaissance to choose several potential sites for
the drainfield. Standard percolation tests were performed with poor
results. Since the confining layer was relative shallow with
underlying sand, a deep absorption trench system was
considered. Additional percolation tests were performed at 6-feet
below ground surface. The deep absorption trench layout with an
effluent pressure-dosing system was approved by Missoula County.
Old Faithful Wastewater Treatment Plant
Yellowstone National Park, Montana
Project included
improvements to the existing plant involving clarifiers and settling
basins.Subsurface conditions consisted of high groundwater & liquefiable soils.
Performed liquefaction analysis for seismic conditions considering
site required vibro-compaction soil improvement.
